This year marks Kirby's 25th anniversary. Nintendo previously said that it would celebrate this with three Kirby-related announcements, which have since included Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and Kirby's Blowout Blast. The third, Kirby: Battle Royale, was revealed during today's Nintendo Direct.
This fighting game's main mode is battle royale, where you fight in arenas against AI or friends to see who can last the longest.
The title will also feature a single player story mode and a hoard express mode that centers around hoarding treasure quicker than your opponents. With online battles, you can battle friends. The short teaser during the Nintendo Direct showed off some special moves you can use, including Ice, Whip, and Tornado.
Once the trailer becomes available, we will add it to this article. Kirby: Battle Royale comes to 3DS as of January 19.
