Kentucky defensive back Kei Beckham’s time in Lexington is over.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound redshirt sophomore from Trotwood, Ohio, who has barely seen any action at all during his two seasons in Lexington, has announced his decision to transfer from the school, according to a report from Kentucky Sports Radio on Wednesday morning.
KSR says the news surrounding Beckham was confirmed by Kentucky athletics.
The only game Beckham played in came last season — his only year that he was eligible — against Austin Peay, when Beckham recorded 2 tackles. He did reel in an interception of Wildcats QB Stephen Johnson in this year’s spring game.
