In a shocking case, dead body of a class 12 student was found at a deserted place falling under Cyberabad police commissionerate jurisdiction on Monday. The student had been missing since Saturday.
Chandni Jain, 17, daughter of a businessman Kishore Jain in Madinaguda of Hyderabad was studying in Silver Oaks School. Jain, a resident of Satyanarayana Enclave, went out to meet friends on Saturday evening and did not come back.
When her parents tried to call her at 9PM, her mobile phone was found switched off. The panicked parents later alerted the police and a search operation was launched. On Monday evening, locals informed the police about a girl's dead body found near Ameenpur at the city outskirts. The dead body of Chandini was found in a decomposed condition and police suspect foul play.
Speaking to India Today, a top officer of Cyberabad police said, "The girl could not have traveled all by herself to the place and someone must have taken her there, either with her consent or forcibly. We are questing few of her friends and awaiting the postmortem report. We, however, do not rule out any possibility and a murder."
The police have formed special teams to identify the accused and nab them. Meanwhile, the father of the girl is abroad and has been informed. He will soon be arriving in the city.
