Prince Andrew's former lover Koo Stark a target for I'm A Celebrity - who hope she spills beans on royal love
The ex-actress was with the Duke of York for 18 months in the 1980s and has always been protective of her privacy.
But sources say ITV bosses are hoping they can lure her to the jungle – where she could finally spill the beans.
But with the royals firmly in the news spotlight this year, show bosses reckon Koo could be the jewel in the crown.
A source said: “Koo is a brilliant booking. Everyone loves the royals, so what better than getting someone who actually dated one?
"It’s a huge year for the royals with the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan and Prince Philip’s retirement. So if ITV bagged Koo is would be a massive coup.
“She has always been very discreet but maybe now the time is right for her to share some of her amazing stories.”
Koo has drawn comparisons with Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle as both are American and were in risqué productions before meeting their Prince Charming.
Mum-of-one Koo had been expected to marry into the royal family until it emerged that she had appeared semi-naked in a soft-porn film.
And Koo, 61, last year wrote an open letter to Meghan, warning her to beware of what she was letting herself in for.
It is not the first time the ITV show has wooed Koo, now a photographer.
She was due to appear in the 2007 series but was dropped at the last minute.
At the time, sources blamed the decision on getting the “right mix” of personalities and Koo would be considered again.
She was apparently considered too posh for the production and celebrities sent into the jungle that year included Emmerdale actress Gemma Atkinson – who this week joined BBC rivals Strictly Come Dancing – and football pundit Rodney Marsh.
