You might have noticed GeekWire has been reporting — rather a lot — on a pair of secretive drive-up grocery store projects planned by Amazon in different Seattle locations.

This week, GeekWire reporter Nat Levy discovered that the project has a better name than “secretive drive-up grocery store,” and that name is AmazonFresh Pickup. The filings he unearthed show plans for the finished store — including the signs — and confirm once and for all that the project is run by Amazon.

Although the tech giant has never publicly commented on the project, the location in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood is already decked out with signs — still hidden from public view — and looks ready to open any day.

On this episode of The Week In Geek podcast, we discuss the Amazon Fresh Pickup saga and debate the actual utility of picking up pre-ordered groceries. Is the convenience worth possible compromises on quality?

We also hear from GeekWire reporter Taylor Soper about his Uberless weekend in Austin’s SXSW festival. Spoiler: he wasn’t too pleased.

Plus, get an update on the various lawsuits against President Trump’s most recent executive order on immigration, which have been widely supported by tech companies, and learn why the Xbox 360 will have its day at the Supreme Court soon.
