The Kansas City Chiefs traded Davis to the Packers in October, but Green Bay released him after two games. The Jets claimed him off waivers before releasing him a day later to make room for RB C.J. Spiller. He then signed with the Chiefs again to finish out the season.

“I felt like with (Steelers coach) Mike Tomlin and what he is doing around here, the success that they have had, and they are looking good,” Davis said. “I think I can help out.”

Davis made his mark as a return man during four seasons in the NFL. He averaged 26.8 yards per kick return in his career, and he has two career kick return touchdowns. He has 805 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns in his career, as well as 271 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

The Chiefs drafted Davis in the third round in 2013. He ran for 1,862 yards during his Arkansas career, including 1,322 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2010.
